Director Marcia Lausen to receive AIGA Medal
The AIGA Medal is awarded to individuals in recognition of their exceptional achievements, services or other contributions to the field of design and visual communication through contribution in the practice of design, teaching, writing or leadership of the profession. Medals have been awarded since 1920 to individuals who have set standards of excellence over a lifetime of work.
Marcia joins John Massey, Professor Emeritus of Graphic Design, as the second member of the UIC Design faculty to recieve this prestigious award. Marcia and fellow 2015 awardees Paola Antonelli, Hillman Curtis, Emory Douglas, and Dan Friedman will be honored at the AIGAwards Gala, May 14, in New York City.
