IL Secretary of State Visits UIC School of Design

Thanks to Secretary of State, Alexi Giannoulias, for visiting the DES420/421 classroom to provide background and inspiration for our work toward a visual identity system and improved customer experience for Illinois Driver and Vehicle Services. Yes, we are working with the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State to reinvent the DMV!

DES420/421 Design Thinking and Leadership is a year-long capstone course for UIC Bachelor of Design and BA in Design Studies students, one of several Professional Practice Studio options designed to engage advanced design students in a large-scale team-based project that — in the words of Secretary Giannoulias — provide us with “opportunity to create success.”
